ACCUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture, done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation to specific points on the body, is a method of unblocking obstructions in energy channels. These energy channels, called meridians, flow throughout the body, nourishing and irrigating tissues. When they are prevented from moving easily, digestion, absorption and energy production activities become imbalanced and can prevent internal organs from functioning correctly. Needling acupuncture points stimulates the body’s systems to release chemicals in our muscles, spinal cord, and brain. In addition to pain management, this practice has the potential to help with the treatment of digestive, respiratory, neurological, and muscular disorders, as well as urinary, menstrual and reproductive problems.
