She has completed additional training in Chair Yoga, Yoga for Special Populations, and Let Your Yoga Dance®. As a physical therapist, Dr. Richards has a passion for biomechanical analysis, especially relating to running, sports mechanics, yoga, and Pilates. John took his first yoga class in college and was immediately hooked. He traveled to Uvita, Costa Rica to complete his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Infinite Source Yoga. John has studied and practiced various types of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Ashtanga, and Restorative, all of which have played an integral role in creating the foundation for his dynamic and alignment-based classes.
Jon Seichō Kenzen McCollum has been practicing Zen meditation since 1995 and has trained at various monasteries and Zen centers in Japan, Eiheij and Sojiji, and in the United States, Upaya Zen Center, Zen Mountain Monastery, Endless Mountain Zendo, and the Village Zendo.
Julia is a Certified Yoga Therapist (M.S., Yoga Therapy, 2015; C-IAYT, 2016) and is trained in clinical psychology (M.Psy. 2013) and conflict management (M.A, 2011). She is on the faculty with the Maryland University of Integrative Health's Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy program and works as yoga therapist with patients in Howard County General Hospital's general admissions. Julia believes that ultimately, the work of yoga as therapy is the unravelling of dysfunctional physical and mental patterns in the interest of cultivating compassionate presence with what is.
Kate Moncrief (Ph.D., RYT-200) is trained in Iyengar-based Hatha yoga. She focuses on healthy alignment and the creative, thoughtful sequencing of postures, combined with breath, for a complete and inspiring practice. See Kate's schedule here
Reflexology & Reiki
Katie became a Certified Reflexologist in 2017 through the Baltimore School of Reflexology. In the upcoming year, she plans to become Nationally Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board, and become trained in both hand and ear reflexology. Her strong tie with Reiki healing led her to learn more about other wellness centered practices.
Lauren Ann Hickey

Lauren’s passions lie in mindful leadership, dynamic movement, and the reflexive relationship between our mindbody and environments. Trained in reiki, feng shui, intuitive development, and transformational coaching, she utilizes her understanding of universal energy and consciousness studies to help individuals open up the flow to their inherent potential. Lauren holds a master’s degree in Human Development and Psychology of Religion from Boston University and Harvard University.
Nancy Illman is a former poverty lawyer who now living her best life devoted to sharing and promoting holistic wellness practices. She has been an advanced practitioner of Usui Reiki since 2007, and both practitioner and trainer in the AromaTouch Technique since 2014; she obtained a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition in 2012 and teaches yoga privately to all her wellness clients. Nancy teaches monthly Yogaroma classes at The Seed House.
